Condolences

Condolence From: Tony Oh
Condolence: Condolences and prayers to Joe's family and friends--although I have never met him in person, I knew from the first time I talked to him over the phone that he is one of kindest, patient, and most understanding people that I have interacted with. Joe--you will truly be missed by all.

Condolence From: Cindy Heidelberger
Condolence: My prayers and sympathy to Nancy, Katie and all of Joe's family and friends. Although I never met Joe in person, I spoke with him regularly by phone and considered him a good friend. He spoke of his family often and was so proud of Nancy and Katie. Joe also spoke frequently of his "extended family - the breakfast club" which consisted of deer, turkeys, mallards and other wildlife that wondered into his view. He always amazed me with his depth of knowledge in networking and his willingness to share and educate others. I learned a lot from Joe, not only related to networks but he also gave me some tips on car maintenance, how to find the best cruises and of course, bicycling. Joe was a gentle, caring soul and I already miss him. Joe, rest in peace in God's loving arms and thank you for everything.

Condolence From: Bob & Karen Blum, and Family
Condolence: Nancy, Katie & Donald, family and friends of Joe...
Where do I begin?
I've known Joe since the late 1980s, working together for many years, and even though our employment later took us on different paths and we saw each other less and less, I still consider him to be probably the best friend I have ever had. I'm sure he knew how much he meant to me; I always welcomed our conversations regardless of the subject, bouncing ideas off each other and simply having fun. If he had a computer or electronics question, he'd call me up and we'd hash things out; we made each other better.
I will miss him dearly, but then I'm glad of that fact. For if he didn't mean so much to me I wouldn't feel that way. He was a good man, husband and father, and I'm proud to have known him and called him my friend.

Condolence: Family and Friends of Joe;
My thoughts & prayers go out to you all in this extremely sad time.
I had the honor of working with Joe at AT&T for over 6 years. He was a wonderful team mate & friend. He was a “look under rocks” guy , always there & always willing to help. I never physically met Joe, which i really regret, but he was always present. He would share photo’s of his vacations, Katie getting married, dressing up of the little girl Bella & his “yard” pets- this made the long distance relationship feel more personal. He would tell me about his long bike rides and mention that we wanted to come to MN to visit all of us here & ride the trails. He loved talking about convertible mustang rides with Nancy, BBQ, favorite trout w asparagus/peppers dinner and especially his mustang shows. He had a bluetooth speaker in his engine compartment that he played horse whinnies when the kids walked by.
He was an inspiration to us all with his devotion & love of Family, cats, yard pets & work.
I will miss him so much and in this trying time will remember how much i appreciated him as a team mate & friend. In memory of Joe we donated to the Siteman Cancer Center and Partner for Pets.

Condolence From: Joan Binetsch and Steve Wallace
Condolence: Joe was the friendliest and kindest neighbor. He always had interesting stories to tell of travels and bike rides. His love for the neighborhood dogs, deer and wildlife was heartwarming. Our dogs frequently looked over to Joe and Nancy's house when they were outside hoping Joe might be coming to give them a treat. We will truly miss seeing him outside just to chat or watch the deer. Thanks for being a great neighbor, Joe. Rest In Peace. Joan & Steve

Condolence From: Geoff Hunter
Condolence: My condolences and prayers out to the family of Joe Holtzsher. I never met Joe face to face, but we had several great conversations both professionally and on personal levels. Joe and I discussed Joes passion and a past passion of mine bicycles. Joe encouraged me to get off my couch and back out on my bike.
Joes travels, and rides are an inspiration to me. Joes battle with cancer is a reminder to me that you don't know when your number is going to be called in.

My heart goes out to Joe's family. My brief glimpse into Joes life, let me know what a wonderful person he was.

When I do get back on that bike, and out on a trail, I will be thinking of my friend and colleague Mr. Joe Holtzscher. RIP my friend and ride on!

Geoff Hunter.
