Joyce Althardt
Joyce D. Althardt 90 of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Sunday December 25, 2016 in Highland, Illinois. She was born on August 21, 1926 the daughter of the late Marshall Lee and Hattie nee House McGlothin. She was also preceded by her husband Earl Sr. whom she married on February 4, 1950. Also preceded by son-in-law Ted Lucas and brothers and sisters Genevieve Ulrici, Mildred Norsigian, Martha Rothman, Lee McGlothlin, Dwayne McGlothlin, Roxie Talbert, Vuela Mason and Gwen Gatewood and Dwight McGlothlin.
Joyce was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Illinois. She worked at the former Mary Ann Shop, Flowers by Fishers and Floyds Flowers. Joyce loved to quilt and was a real go-getter who loved to cook and travel to Branson, Mo and Florida. She helped in getting Braille books together.
She is survived by her children Linda (Jim Boyett) Lucas of Collinsville, Ill. and Earl (Marsha) Althardt Jr. of Caseyville, Ill. and grandchildren Scott (Michelle) Lucas, Todd (Dina) Althardt and Kelly (Mark) Kuechle, great grandchildren Gavin & Charlotte Lucas, Caleb and Ethan Althardt and Kylie and Jordyn Kuechle. Also one sister Wanda Land of Litchfield, Ill.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Assoc. or to Faith Countryside Manor in Highland, Ill. and condolences may be expressed through this online guestbook.
Visitation: Friends may call at the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill. on Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Service: Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday December 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Illinois with Pastor Kyle Wright officiating.. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Collinsville, Ill.
