Duke G. Ajemian

Duke G. Ajemian 92 of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away on Saturday March 11, 2017. He was born in Lawrence, Mass. on June 8, 1924 the son of the late Mahak and Vartanush nee Jelalian Ajemian. He was also preceded by his wife whom he married on December 28, 1955 LaRee nee Broyles Ajemian, half brother Archie, sister Sara Takvorian, and half sister Zabel.

Duke was a golf course superintendent for over 40 years, including time at the Paddock Country Club, Terre Du Lac Country Club, and the Sunset Hills Country Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Order in New York. Duke proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1944-1946 and 1946-1949.

Duke is survived by his children Greg (Jadzia) Ajemian of Mansfield, Texas, Debi Ajemian of St, Louis, Mo. and Bob (Debbie) Ajemian of Glen Carbon, Illinois, plus four grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces Denise Takvorian and Robbie Ajemian Schmitt, and nephews Richard Ajemian and Ronnie Ajemian. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.herrfuneral.com.

Private services will be conducted. Sunset Hill Funeral Home of Glen Carbon, Ill. in charge of arrangements.
