Rose M. Taylor
COLLINSVILLE- Rose Marie, nee Griffith, Taylor, 84, of Collinsville, IL, born August 10, 1932, in Willisville, IL, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edwardsville, IL.
Rose attended school in Willisville, Ill and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, gardening, needlework and attending flea markets. She was a longtime Collinsville resident.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard “Rich” Taylor of 64 years, parents, Sim and Marjorie Griffith, a brother, Russel Carter, infant daughters Richie Diane and Cindy Rose; a daughter, Kathi Taylor Jeckstadt; and a grandson, Jason Jeckstadt.
Surviving are her brother, Jack (Sharon) Griffith of Pinckneyville, a sister, Katherine (Ernie) Ahlers of Campbell Hill, Ill., a son, John R. (Sally) Taylor of Collinsville, a son-in-law, Richard Jeckstadt of Caseyville, Ill., grandsons, John R. (Noel) Taylor of Granite City, Ill., and Todd (Jenn) Jeckstadt of Lake St. Louis, MO, and four great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her care giving staff of Edwardsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Edwardsville, IL for their kind and considerate care.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Maryville, Ill.

A funeral service for Rose will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville. A visitation will be held a hour prior to the service, from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
