Jacqueline Stack
Jacqueline Ann Stack, 86, formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born July 25, 1930 in Granite City, Ill., passed away at San Gabriel Memory Care in Highland, Ill., on Friday April 7, 2017.
Jacqueline was a very independent woman who loved to travel with her husband and they did so all over the world. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping and going to the Ozarks. Her greatest joy was her family especially her grandbabies. She was a bookkeeper at both Lombardo's and Vita Foods in St. Louis, Mo., and for many years she worked at the Bird in the Hand which was part of Famous-Barr downtown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ella Shelton, nee Renfrow. She was also preceded by her husband, Robert whom she married July 22, 1950; one sister, Jane Holcomb; and one brother Carl Shelton.
Jacqueline is survived by her children, Phillip (Janet) Stack of Edwardsville, Ill., and Jennifer (Paul) Belobrajdic of Woodstock, Ga.; a sister, Joyce (Tom) Dye of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Jerry (Sandra) Shelton of Vienna, Mo.; grandchildren, Nicholas Stack, Melinda Stack, Scott (Aimee) Ballenger, Jessica Ballenger and Robert Andrew Ballenger; also great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Kiley and Will Ballenger.
Memorials may be given to San Gabriel Memory Care in Highland, Ill., or to Alzheimer's Research. Condolences may be left to the family through this online guestbook.
Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Sunset Hill Funeral Home 50 Fountain Dr Glen Carbon, Ill.
Services: Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Thursday April 13, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Steffaniak officiating. Interment to follow at the Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.
