Eugene F. Bean
COLLINSVILLE- Eugene F. Bean, 53, of Collinsville, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Eugene was born on September 30,1963 in East St. Louis, Ill., to Curtis Jr. and Carol, nee Strackeljahn, Bean. He married Linda Eiskant in 1995 in Edwardsville. She survives and resides in Collinsville.
He is also survived by his mother, Carol Bean; his son, Daniel (Gerica) Bean of Glen Carbon; step-sons, Alen (Becky) Shea and Steve (Sheila) Shea, all of Collinsville; four granddaughters, Amyiah, Anna, McKenzie, and Brooklyn; six step grand children, Ryan, Kyle, Baylee, Savanna, Cloe and Hunter; siblings, John (Karen) Bean of Edwardsville, Diana (Mark) Hasamear of Chillicothe, and Robert (Laura) Bean of Carbondale; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Curtis and Sara Bean; and maternal grandparents, George and Henrietta Strackeljahn.
Eugene was a graduate of Collinsville High School. He worked as a handyman and enjoyed fishing in his free time. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
VISITATION: A memorial visitation for Eugene will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville.
FUNERAL: A memorial service will be held following the visitation, at 6:00 P.M. Pastor Ron Habermehl will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
