Emma Schroeder
COLLINSVILLE- Emma Schroeder, 98, passed away on October 14, 2017 at Mari De Villa Senior Living in Town and Country, MO.
Emma was born August 27, 1919 to John and Anna (Bartushat) Andrushat in Washington Park, IL. She married John Schroeder on August 27, 1949; he preceded her in death on May 14, 1988.
She is survived by her brother, John Yokubat and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Emma was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. She worked and retired as a receptionist for 30 years at Ford Motor Company in St. Louis. Emma loved her family dearly; she will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and siblings, Ann Gnaegy, Mary Steinberg, Edith Payne, George Andrushat, and Arthur Yokubat.
Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. Additional condolences may also be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
A funeral for Emma will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville, IL. Reverend Michael Walther will officiate.
VISITATION: A visitation for Emma will be held an hour prior to the service, from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M., at the church. Interment will follow at Mascoutah Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the entire staff at Mari De Villa. They have provided loving care and support to Emma during the years she lived there. We are grateful for all they have done to keep Emma safe, healthy and happy.
